​Die 20. Ausgabe und damit das 40-jährige Jubiläum der Videonale haben wir als großes Fest der Begegnung mit Videokunst und ihren Macher:innen gefeiert: 26 internationale historische und aktuelle Werke der Videokunst waren in einer aufwendigen Ausstellungspräsentation im Kunstmuseum Bonn und an sechs Ausstellungsstationen in der Stadt Bonn zu sehen. Sie bildeten den Parcours der VIDEONALE.20, der individuell mit dem Videonale-Stadtplan oder bei Führungen und geführten Spaziergängen gemeinsam erkundet werden konnte. Zahlreiche Veranstaltungen an den Eröffnungstagen und während der gesamten Festival-Laufzeit luden darüber hinaus zur intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit den Werken ein.

 

We celebrated the 20th edition and thus the 40th anniversary of Videonale as a grand festival of encounters with video art and its creators: 26 international historical and contemporary works of video art were on display in an elaborate exhibition presentation at the Kunstmuseum Bonn and at six exhibition stations throughout the city of Bonn. They formed the VIDEONALE.20 parcours, which could be explored individually with the Videonale city map or together on guided tours and walks. Numerous events on the opening days and throughout the festival also invited visitors to engage intensively with the works.
